ULTRA-HIGH DENSITY REED RELAYS
Ultra-high density reed relay product lines are up to 1 Amp switching, whilst still stacking on as little as a 4mm x 4mm pitch, allowing the highest packing density currently available in the industry.
The relays feature the highest quality instrumentation grade reed switches and internal mu-metal magnetic screens to minimise magnetic interaction when relays are stacked closely together.
Ultra-High Density reed relays are ideal for very high density applications such as A.T.E. switching matrices or multiplexers.

New Series 125 – 5mm2 x 15.5mm up to 1 A, 20 W
The smallest 2-pole reed relay currently available. 2 Form A (DPST N.O) relays with 3, 5 or 12 V coils. Ideal for very high density applications such as A.T.E. switching matrices or multiplexers.
Requiring a PCB area of only 5mm x 5mm, these relays allow the highest packing density currently available for a 2-pole reed relay. Despite their small size, an optional internal diode is offered. The full mu-metal package allows side-by-side stacking with just a 1% typical magnetic interaction, compared to 40% in an unshielded relay.
Series 124 – 4mm2 x 9.5mm up to 0.5 A, 10 W
The Series 124 reed relay range is part of Pickering’s new ultra-high density 4mm x 4mm product line, which take up the minimum board area of only 4mm x 4mm, allowing the highest packing density currently available.
The range features a sputtered ruthenium switch rated at 10 Watts, 0.5 Amps. These are the same reed switches as used in the long established Pickering Series 111, 111P and 117 but are orientated vertically within the package, allowing this high density.
Series 122 – 4mm2 x 12.5mm up to 1 A, 15 W
The Series 122 15W rated reed relay is part of the successful 4mm2 TM product family that occupy a PCB footprint of only 4mm x 4mm, facilitating the highest packing density currently available. Series 122 relays measure 12.5mm in height and are rated with a switching current of 1.0A at 15W. 3V and 5V coils are available.
The device has pins on a 2mm square pitch. There are suitable connectors available from some manufacturers, both SMD and Through Hole, that will allow these relays to be stacked in either a row or in a matrix on a 4mm pitch.
If a higher rating is required, please consider our Series 120 which are rated up to 1.0 Amp at 20 Watts but with a higher profile height. If a lower profile height is required, please consider our Series 124 with a height of just 9.5mm whilst rated up to 10 Watts, 0.5 Amps switching.
Series 120 – 4mm2 x 15.5mm up to 1 A, 20 W
The Series 120 reed relay range takes up the minimum board area making them ideal for very high density applications such as A.T.E. switching matrices or multiplexers. Requiring a board area of only 4mm x 4mm, these relays allow the highest packing density currently available.
Two switch types are available, a general purpose sputtered ruthenium switch rated at 15 Watts, 1 Amp (3 volt version) or 20 Watts, 1 Amp (5 & 12 volt versions) and a low level sputtered ruthenium switch rated at 10 Watts, 0.5 Amps.
