SIL Reed Relays
• SoftCenter™ construction
• Highest quality instrumentation grade switches
• Encapsulated in a plastic package with internal mu-metal magnetic screen
• Wide range of switch configurations – Form A, 1 Form B, 2 Form A, 1 Form C
• Many benefits compared to industry standard relays. Learn more here >.
• Two pole relay requires the same board area as the single pole type
• Dry and mercury wetted switches are available with the same pin configuration and footprint
• Insulation resistance greater than 10E12 Ohms (1TOhms) for dry Form A devices
• 5, 12 and 24 Volt coils are standard, with or without internal diode
• 100% tested for dynamic contact resistance
The Series 105 is a range of Single-in Line reed relays, available with a wide variety of switching configurations and switch types, including mercury wetted versions.
They feature internal mu-metal magnetic screens which allow high packing density without the risk of magnetic interaction problems.
The Pickering Series 100, 101, 103, 106, 107 and 108 all have the same pin locations as the Series 105. If a reduced coil power is desired, please consider our Series 100 and 101 which may be driven directly from CMOS logic. If a higher packing density is required, smaller devices are available in other Pickering SIL ranges.
In addition to the relays shown on this brochure, many other special types are manufactured to meet customers specific requirements. Please contact our technical sales department for further information or samples.
A useful tip
If there is a chance that you might want to use mercury wetted relays instead of dry relays at a later date, for example to increase switch ratings, lay out the PCB initially as though for the mercury wetted type with pin 1 uppermost. This allows uprating later without PCB changes. The mercury versions in the Series 105 have
identical pin configurations to the dry types.
All our data sheets have been recently updated to include additional environmental specifications, mechanical characteristics and relay weights, RF plots for coaxial relays (showing VSWR, isolation and insertion loss), interactive links to further useful information, comparison tables to similar relay ranges and much more.

- Free Sample Service – determining which components to design in can be challenging. Fortunately, here at Pickering Electronics, we provide free working samples to help you evaluate our high-quality Reed Relays.
- Reed Relay Selector Tool – this tool will help you narrow down our large offering to get you the correct reed relay for your application. Once you narrow your selections down you can download a relay datasheet for more information, purchase in stock items or request a quote to find out lead times of made to order (MTO) relays.
- Concise Tech Guide – this guide will help you to maximise the reliability of your design.
- Quality Assurance – learn more about the various accreditations and certifications that Pickering holds.
- Custom Designed Reed Relays – With over a thousand catalog parts there is plenty of choice when choosing the right Reed Relay for your product, but if you cannot find one suitable for your needs Pickering can customize our standard reed relay parts to suit your specific requirements and applications.
The below table will help you narrow down our offering to get you the correct reed relay for your application.
