The Series 144 is a range of Single-In-Line reed relays designed to handle power levels exceeding those of traditional dry SIL reed relays.

Typically, standard dry relays are rated at 0.5 amps at 10 Watts. However, the Series 144 reed relays offer significantly higher capabilities, with a switching current of up to 2 Amps, facilitating power delivery of up to 60 Watts or 1 Amp for up to 80 Watts, and a continuous carry current of up to 3 Amps. Additionally, it boasts high-voltage capability, with a switching voltage of 1000VDC up to 10W and up to 3kV stand-off.

The Series 144 is our smallest miniature SIP reed relay with a power rating up to 80 Watts. It combines the ability to effectively switch higher power with exceptional low-level performance, making it an ideal choice where both high-power and low-level switching capabilities are required.

These reed relays find extensive use in diverse fields such as mixed signal semiconductor testers, photovoltaic and EV applications, mining gas analysis, medical electronics, in-circuit test equipment, high voltage instrumentation, and more. They often serve as viable alternatives to mercury wet reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays due to their exceptional low-level performance and high isolation advantages.

To mitigate magnetic interaction issues when closely stacked, the range includes an internal mu-metal screen.

  • Free Sample Service – determining which components to design in can be challenging. Fortunately, here at Pickering Electronics, we provide free working samples to help you evaluate our high-quality Reed Relays.
  • Reed Relay Selector Tool – this tool will help you narrow down our large offering to get you the correct reed relay for your application. Once you narrow your selections down you can download a relay datasheet for more information, purchase in stock items or request a quote to find out lead times of made to order (MTO) relays.
  • Concise Tech Guide – this guide will help you to maximise the reliability of your design.
  • Quality Assurance – learn more about the various accreditations and certifications that Pickering holds.
  • Custom Designed Reed Relays – With over a thousand catalog parts there is plenty of choice when choosing the right Reed Relay for your product, but if you cannot find one suitable for your needs Pickering can customize our standard reed relay parts to suit your specific requirements and applications.

All Pickering reed relays feature the highest quality instrumentation grade reed switches making them suitable for the most demanding applications. Internal mu-metal magnetic screens (optional on Series 103) allow very high packing density. Diodes are optional.
